WALKING ROUTE
From the heart of the Wicklow National Park, we set out to climb two summits, Brockagh East and Brockagh main summit. This beautiful loop walk takes in stunning views of the Wicklow Mountains and the Glendalough Valley. The hiking is a mix of track and trail and sections of open hillside. From the summit of Brockagh East top there are stunning views of the Glenmacnass Waterfall not to mention the surrounding Wicklow hills!
Throughout the walk we will discuss some of the wonderful flora, fauna and history found in the Wicklow Mountains. We take plenty of breaks for photos, snacks and water. We will keep a slow pace. This hike is graded moderate and a beginner levels of fitness is required. Our route may vary depending on weather and underfoot conditions. Please see the required equipment list below.

- Hiking boots - It can be wet and boggy with off trail sections and open mountainside.

- Extra layers such as a fleece jumper.
- Hat & gloves.
- SPF - even if it’s not sunny.
- Bug spray - There can be midge and ticks from spring to autumn.
- Any medications you may need.
- Small rucksack to hold the above items.
- Spare clothing such as socks/tops/bottoms/shoes for after the hike - you don’t need to carry these, leave them in the car for your return.
- Trekking poles if you normally use them.
